Your Role as Director of Rooms
The Director of Rooms provides leadership and operational oversight for all aspects of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Engineering. This role ensures smooth daily operations, the highest level of guest satisfaction, and adherence to Mr. C’s brand standards and values. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Director of Rooms collaborates with various departments to deliver exceptional service, drive team performance, and achieve financial goals. 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire the Rooms Division team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of service excellence. 
  • Ensure all guest interactions meet or exceed Mr. C’s luxury service standards, with particular focus on VIP guests. 
  • Oversee daily operations in Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest Services, addressing any challenges promptly and professionally. 
  • Analyze and monitor key performance metrics (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR) to achieve revenue and operational goals. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, ensuring prompt resolution of complaints or concerns. 
  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. 
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting employee growth. 
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, sanitation, and operational standards. 
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to Mr. C’s mission and values. 
Requirements and Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in hotel operations, with Rooms Division experience preferred. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive under pressure. 
    • Proven financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus). 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems (PMS). 
  • Grooming: Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in line with Mr. C’s grooming standards.
